Years ago a friend of mine took me to a Lazy Sunday CD release party in somebody's basement in Ann Arbor. Nervous But Excited played some songs and I thought, "these ladies are pretty excellent." Then most of the people at this little shindig stood around the backyard and sang Wagon Wheel, it was a memorable evening that I shared with one friend and about 50 strangers. Last night I went to the Ani show in Kzoo, and there was Nervous But Excited, opening the show. Color me impressed.
